Meet The Characters

Calloway "Cali" Sharpe main character

Only one like her and the only name you’ll need to remember. Let her hardcore, childhood friend Brick tell it, you BETTER remember or you might find yourself on the receiving end of a shot gun barrel. But Calloway Sharpe at first glance, is way too polished and professional for anyone to ever assume that she’d be anything less than a lady. Glamorous, curvy yet street savvy and smart, Calloway (also known to others by her nickname “Cali), is not your basic woman and she’ll take you by surprise if you’re not watching with your eyes wide open. A model, a mogul and also a corporate executive that commands much respect wherever she goes. Having somewhat of a sordid past, naysayers and “haters” didn’t imagine she’d go so far. In fact, based on some hidden and soon-to-be revealed “secrets”, a young “Cali” didn’t stand much of a chance to escape the lifestyle and generational plague of the street life. Her childhood, appearing stable on the outside, was filled with plenty of mountain-peak highs and devastating lows. Her father, a well known “thug” in his prime, was sentenced to life in prison after being busted by an undercover cop. Cali had to grow up very fast in a household with her mother and older sister.

Donny Pendleton model/actor - significant other

A very handsome, “chocolate” brother who happens to be Cali’s main love interest. He is a professional model and actor, so he and Cali have this in common. In fact, this is how they met, having traveled in the same circles and often attending the same industry events. Donny is well educated and has no street-sense unlike the television character he is best known for playing. In fact, he is the total opposite of his on-set character, which has yielded him much success and a rewarding career in entertainment. Donny and Cali together, make one gorgeous couple and the chemistry between the two of them is often explosive. A beautiful, sexy and young black couple is great optics for media. People love seeing these two together but is what they have off-screen enough to sustain a real-life romance?

Calvin "Low" Sharpe father

Calloway’s father was a notorious drug dealer and was pretty well known throughout the Bronx, Harlem and surrounding areas. Much like his own daughter, Calvin had to grow up fast and was quickly introduced to the street life and as a result, had to become the man of the house at an early age. Calvin’s rise to the top in the hood quickly comes crumbling down once his choices finally catch up to him and he is sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Terrance "Brick" Thatcher childhood friend

As his nickname suggests, his body is built like a solid brick or rather a Greek god but this long-time childhood friend of Cali’s is as hardcore and street as they come. Born in Washington, DC but raised by his grandparents in Bronx, NY, Terrance (affectionately known as “Brick”) is probably more like family to Cali than her own blood. He knows a side of Cali that most of her current circle aren’t privy to. He knew “Young Cali” yet respects the metamorphosis that has occurred in Cali as she has grown and matured through her trials, hardship, legal battles and other drama that very few people ever get close enough to even understand. Brick is a faithful friend, full of flaws himself but has also made some transformations of his own. He now owns his own club and is involved in a few other business ventures. He also works as a personal trainer part-time and is about to start taking on professional athletes as his clientele thanks to his home girl, Cali.

Desmond Hammond older gentleman and soon to be "not so secret" admirer

Desmond works security detail for a lot of the events that Cali attends as a model and actress. After a pretty crazy stalking incident, Cali’s management team decided to beef up security and Desmond often travels with Cali to certain events. Desmond is an attractive black male who is very physically fit and extremely low-key. He is soft-spoken yet his presence is very commanding and he is well respected by his peers as well as the clients he serves through his security management company. Desmond was first introduced to Cali in NY for a premiere party and was introduced to her as someone she might want to have on her professional staff as security support. It has been about 5 years that Desmond and Cali have known each other through the nature of their work but it becomes obvious that he is genuinely sweet on Cali and also very protective of her.
